Dr. Collantes has been the proud owner of MC Medical Clinic for 14 years. Born and raised in the Philippines to two nice and caring people, Dr. Collantes was unfortunately orphaned at the young age of nine years old. Despite this, Dr. Collantes still completed his elementary and high school educations.
Due to financial circumstances, Dr. Collantes was unable to attend college directly out of high school. Fortunately due to his high academic standing, Dr. Collantes received a government scholarship which allowed him to attend ten years of an accredited college of medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Collantes took an internship and residency training in general surgery. He then traveled to the United States to work in the emergency room in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Collantes was drafted into the US Army in 1973 and was assigned to many various military bases across the United States and Honduras, Central America. Among his many Army duties, during 1974-75, Dr. Collantes served as Acting Commander, Chief of Professional Services at McAffee U.S. Army Health Center in White Sands, New Mexico. Dr. Collantes retired from the Army with the rank of Major.
After serving in the US Army, Dr. Collantes came to California and worked at many different hospitals and clinics across greater Los Angeles. Since 1987, Dr. Collantes has been in private practice and specializing in family medicine in Norwalk, California. Dr. Collantes is also involved in World of Hope, a religious mission in Luzon and the Visayas, and served in a 1999 medical mission in Nasipit.
